Anti-Phishing Working Group
On October 28, 2013, Baidu Antivirus officially became a member of the Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG). After the admission, it will share global phishing data with over 2,000 APWG members.
APWG's global data shows large e-commerce sites (eg. eBay), financial sites (eg. bank and securities sites) and mainstream third-party payment platforms (eg. PayPal) have become major targets for cyber criminals' fraud and privacy stealing activities. Facing increasingly rampant online phishing criminals, Baidu Antivirus will offer users with global anti-phishing services after joining APWG to avoid online-phishing-incurred economic losses.
APWG is currently the world's most authoritative anti-phishing organization. It has brought together big names like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Yahoo, Visa, AT&T, McAfee,Kaspersky, Cisco, Adobe and US-CERT. Baidu Antivirus' accession to APWG shows its strong anti-phishing capacity has been recognized by a world-famous authority.
