Carefully Disguised Online Shopping Trojan Is Now Coming

Recently, Baidu Antivirus Security Center has detected a new type of online shopping trojan. Compared to other such trojans, it has the gall to directly use a regular digital signature named "Opt-Market" to disguise itself. This allows it to avoid detection by security software so that it can hide on a user's computer for a long time.

Analysis by Baidu Antivirus security experts has revealed that this trojan can maliciously compromise online banking security modules (e.g. Brazil's GbPlug-in) so as to monitor online transactions. After the online banking module is rendered ineffective, the trojan can easily intercept online transaction vouchers (e.g. credit card information). Then, cybercriminals can use this information to extract funds from users' online banking accounts for their own profit.

Meanwhile, Baidu Antivirus security experts have also discovered that this trojan uses advanced techniques to prevent users from removing it. For example, it can end the trojan daemon or check the list of antivirus software currently installed on the system and then adopt measures specifically targeting 32 types of internationally known security software. This allows the trojan to avoid detection and removal.

Currently, Baidu Antivirus users can enable all security defense functions to intercept this trojan. Baidu Antivirus security experts also suggest that users regularly use security software to check their computers and completely remove any potential threats.
